On Friday 12 December, at the 16th annual Boat of the Year awards, the Cruising World judges (The North American cruising magazine) announced the most anticipated awards.
21 boats were tested by a panel of experts at the Annapolis Sailboat show.
The Océanis 34 held the attention of the judges, who decided to give it the Best Value award. According to Mr. Pillsbury, one of the judges, the Océanis 34 was ‘the least expensive and one of the smallest of the cruising boats we looked at, yet under sail was a pure delight and handled well in the rather boisterous conditions we encountered’.
Also of note, the Cyclade 43.3 (called Moorings 43.3 here) won the title of Best Special-Purpose Cruiser (Cyclades are particularly well suited to chartering).
These 2 distinctions reward BENETEAU’s innovation and know-how in the yacht building industry.
